The Process

1. Initial Discussions

During an initial FREE consultation I will discuss your objectives, preferences, technical matters and budget. This can take place either over the telephone, face-to-face, or by email.

2. Project Specification

Based on the initial discussions a Project Specification will be prepared detailing the purpose of the site, number and type of pages and advising you of the estimated cost of work.

If you decide to have me design and develop your web site, you will need to sign a contract with me, and put down a deposit before I start. Prior to development a consultation meeting will take place.

3. Design and Development

During the design stage I will liaise with you to ensure that your ideas and requirements are taken into account. If you are having a bespoke site, draft designs will be made available to you for approval. Be assured that I will keep you involved during all steps of the process.

4. Implementation

In the final stages of construction your site will be fully tested and you will be given access to view the site and make any final alterations.

Once you have approved the site, final payment will be made and your site will be uploaded to it's final destination.

5. Promoting your web site

If specified your site will then be registered with the main search engines and directories (Google, Alta Vista, Yahoo, etc).

6. Post sales support

I will troubleshoot any problems via telephone or email for the next 2 months, and check with you from time to time that everything is running smoothly.

7. Maintenance

The work isn't over once your site is published! It needs to be kept up-to-date to keep that professional image. Maintenance can be provided on an ad hoc hourly basis, or if you'd prefer an annual contract. I am also happy to train you or your staff to maintain the site in-house.

Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
